Hamilton Watch Co. was formed in 1892 acquiring and purchasing all assets of this company to form the most accurate Railroad timekeeper in history. This all-original watch is serial No. 8112; the first few months of production in 1865. 18 size, full plate gilt, key wind and key set, wide well diamond jewel settings, G.M. Wheeler/Elgin, Ill. No. 8112. Original 3oz. coin silver hunting key wind hunting case by the Keystone Watch Case Co. Very clear running and very rare American early watch.
