ILLINOIS 23 JEWEL 60 HOUR BUNN SPECIAL MARKED DIAL MODEL 173 CASE 1927. Extremely rare and desirable. This American Railroad Approved pocket watch has it all! 1) Fully marked dial, 2) Original Bunn Special Model 173 case, and 3) Original fully marked movement. Extremely collectible and is considered the top of the line for Illinois Railroad pocket watches. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Original hands. White porcelain double sunken marked: "ILLINOIS/ 23j/ BUNN SPECIAL", and "60 HOURS 6 POSITIONS" in an arc over the sub. seconds circle. Single light hairline at 12 edge, which does not distract. MOVEMENT: 16 size, open face, lever set, all 14k gold time train, all 14k capped screw down jewel settings, "SIXTY HOUR BUNN SPECIAL", "MOTOR BARREL 60 HOUR", "Adjusted Temperature 6 Positions", #5,240,552. Mint original movement free of distraction. CASE: Excellent white gold filled screw back and bezel. Fine line of brass on back edge, viewed only through a loop. Excellent original case.
