LORD ELGIN 50 MILLION ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION 21 JEWELS GRADE 670 HOODED HINGED LUGS 18k GOLD Circa: 1951. Extremely rare. The highest Grade Elgin wristwatch produced. The Hallmark of American production and the industral
revolution of the 19th Century. This limited edition was especially produced to celebrate the 50th million watch produced by the Elgin Watch Co. since 1868. Elgin began production just after the Civil War in Elgin, Illinois as the NATIONAL WATCH Co. In 1873 the Company incorporated as the Elgin National Watch Co. and went on to produce a total of 50 million watches by 1951. This watch was produced to celebrate that accomplishment. Limited production of 1000, of which
this is No. 205. This surviving example is in superb original used condition and is especially collectible. The current 2009 price guide estimates the value at $1750.00 in rough condition to - $3250.00 - $3750.00 for like new. Reasonalble offers accepted. THIS

DIAL: Original off-white color surface with orignal minute and hour hands. Signed "LORD ELGIN". Mint original dial. MOVEMENT: 2/3 plate gold flashed, pendent set, "7 Adjustments" Grade "670", "21 Jewels", No. 50,000,205. This watch is No. 205 of a total production of 1000. CASE: Built by the Star Watch Case Co. especially for this series. Marked: "18k GOLD/ 5000". Also, "CASED AND TIMED BY THE ELGIN NATIONAL WATCH CO." This casse measures 20mm diameter by 28mm in length. This is the original case. Excellent original condition, free of refinishing, or any excessive polishing. Especially desirable in this original state of condition. BAUME & MERCIER STERLING SILVER JUMBO CHRONOGRAPH 39mm Circa: 1945. Italian market early chronograph. Featured is the extra bold Radium filled Arabic Art Deco figures. The original Oyster steel deployment bracelet adds to appearance and value. This single function chronograph is fully functional, clean, running, and accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME. DIAL: Excellent original condition signed: "Baume & Mercier", and "Anti Magnetic/ Seventeen Jewels" in bright red; and "Swiss made" at the very bottom.
