OMEGA SEAMASTER CENTER SECONDS GUILLOCHE 2-TONE DIAL BOMBAY CASE 34mm Caliber 420. Circa: 1954. Very early Seamaster; fine and rare. 34mm in diameter without the crown by 42mm in length, and 9mm thick. Featured is the original two-tone Guilloche or textured pattern dial. This dial is particularly collectible and desirable. The teardrop figures and hand are rose colored applied on the surface, creating a three-decisional appearance and sharp contrast. The case is a very bold Bombay style unique to the early 1950s Omega and is most desirable among early Omega watch collectors. This Center Seconds Omega was considered the highest grade in 1953; one full year before the Constellation series Calibers 453, 454 and 500. Before this Seamaster grade, Omega used the center seconds and platform on the so called "Chronometre" of the late 1940s considered the highest grade to that date. Therefore, this 17 Jewel all original Caliber 420 represents an important transition between the 1940s high grade center seconds and the 24 jewel constellation series introduced latter in 1954. Extremely interesting and especially collectible and uniquely Omega.

DIAL: Guilloche pattern all original surfaces in excellent condition. All original rose colored hands! This includes the sweep second hand as well as the hour and minute. All figures are a teardrop design and applied by the Omega factory to the surface. Excellent color and condition. MOVEMENT: 3/4 Plate rose, pendent set, Caliber "420", "Seventeen (17) Jewels", "OMEGA Watch Co. Swiss", #13,937,854. Bright color, free of distraction; original to the case. CASE: Snap back all stainless steel, all original Bombay style Omega case. Back fully marked (with probably too much information by the Omega factory). Please view the image of these markings provided. All surfaces polished original and in like new condition. Impressive and especially stylish. Genuine tobacco colored Swiss Lizard high grade strap with a Bombay style Omega silver Logo Buckle. Very nice. NOTE: Please view our return policy for exchanges and returns.
