BAUME AND MERCIER JUMBO ROSE GOLD PLATE CHRONOGRAPH MAT FINISHED DIAL 38mm Circa: 1951. Fine and rare. The size is unusually large, 38mm in diameter without the crown, by 45mm in length and 12mm thick. Featured is both the fancy turned down lug design and the rose color. Also, the mat finished dial has the original bright red register hands. Baume & Mercier used a high grade chronograph movement by Landeron ("L248"). This movement is signed: "BAUME & MERCIER" on the bridge and is very clean. Early chronograph were seldom this large. Most impressive and is exceptionally beautiful.

DIAL: Professionally restored in the 1970s to this like new condition. Exceptionally nice. The mat finish is reflective resistant and is easy to read. MOVEMENT: Laderon 248 "L248", pendent set, push button single function chronograph, signedL: "Baume & Mercier Swiss", and "Seventeen Jewels Swiss". Original movement. CASE: snap back steel with mint original rose gold plated original top with all surfaces like new and original polish. Very nice. BAUME & MERCIER STERLING SILVER JUMBO CHRONOGRAPH 39mm Circa: 1945. Italian market early chronograph. Featured is the extra bold Radium filled Arabic Art Deco figures. The original Oyster steel deployment bracelet adds to appearance and value. This single function chronograph is fully functional, clean, running, and accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME. DIAL: Excellent original condition signed: "Baume & Mercier", and "Anti Magnetic/ Seventeen Jewels" in bright red; and "Swiss made" at the very bottom. MOVEMENT: MOVEMENT: Single functrion chronograph with all nickel plates signed: "Baume & Mercier", "Seventeen 17 Jewels". Free of distraction and original to the case and dial CASE: Steel snap back with sterling silver top, frame, and lugs. Steel flex Oyster deployment bracelet. Very nice.
