BAUME & MERCIER 18k GOLD BLUE LAPIS DIAL TEARDROP LUGS 40.8 Grams 32mm Circa: 1968. 37mm in length by 7mm thick. Fine and rare. Unusually heavy 18k gold hallmarked case. This baume & Mercier Lapis Dial high grade is often mistaken for the same Patek Phillipe cushion model with the same dial and case. 30 hour winding, fully mechanical and especially desirable with this dial. The teardrop lug design was used only on the highest grade Swiss models and this is a very beautiful example. Grossly undervalued, in todays new watch market, the retail price would be in the $5,000.00 range. A perfect size for the gentleman, who demands the best, yet, a little different. Clean, running and very much like new.
THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Deep blue lapis stone unmarked except for the "Baume & Mercier" signature and small logo. Ellegant and cost much more when originally ordered. MOVEMENT: 30 hour winding all original movement, signed: "Baume & Mercieer". Note: four fine case screws allow the back to be removed to image the movement. I elected not to preform this tedious process of removing and installing in order to avoid unnessary handling and possible imperfectios to this new condition case). CASE: Like new condition solid 18k yellow gold with satin finished back and teardrop lug design. NOTE: We constantly have new arrivals of fine watches daily.
