Hamilton 23j BALL Grade 998 Elinvar Ball Model Case. All original and very rare.
16 size, open face, lever set, signed "ELINVAR" under the balance, "OfficialRRStandard", "23 Jewels", 14k center wheel, lever set, "Adjusted Five Positions", #B648,974. Jeweled main spring barrel. This Hamilton 23j Model by Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio was the highest Hamilton Grade. Very clean, running and accurate and completely original. The porcelain dial has a micro chip at the 12 o'clock edge, which is hidden by the bezel. The original Ball case has a line of brass on the back edge.
