OMEGA Ranchero 30mm Steel Jumbo Sub. Seconds 36mm Caliber 268 Circa: 1960. 36mm diameter without the Logo Crown, and 10mm thick. Fine and rare with the original ref. 2996-2 steel snap back 38mm case. Original Logo Crown. The Ranchero was produced only a short period of time for the South American market first introduced in 1958. The marketing team at Omega did not consider that the term or word “Ranchero” meant Farmer in Spanish. This did not go over well with wealthy customers, who considered this a "Farmer's" watch, and did not buy it! A beautiful surviving example of this rare Omega Model. Clean, running and still accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Black satin finished non-reflective with Arrowhead Radium filled figures and “Swiss Made” well below the 6: O’Clock marker. Dial signed: “OMEGA/ Ranchero/ 30mm”. Original nickel plat pointer hands. Mint original dial. MOVEMENT: Caliber “268”, ¾ plate rose, pendent set, “OMEGA” “17 Jewels”, “Swiss”, #17,417,813. Superb original condition, and original to this Omega case. CASE: Snap back and bezel jumbo 38mm diameter and 10mm thick. Lucite original crystal. Logo original Omega Crown. Inside back marked with the Omega Factory Logo and reference No. 2996-2. All steel and original to the movement. Not perfect but in excellent original condition. Natural leather strap and Omega Logo silver 16mm buckle. NOTE: Please view our return policy for exchanges and returns.
