Baume & Mercier Chronograph Black Dial L248 17 Jewels Circa: 1953. This is a very beautiful chronograph built in the early 1950s. The movement is the highest grade Swiss movement built by Landern. The dial has been restored to it’s original beauty and is the finest quality. The original case is in superb original condition and everything is fully functional. Especially attractive and collectible. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: Silver registers and marked; “Baume & Mercier/Geneve”. “Swiss Made” just under the 6 o’clock. Very nice. MOVEMENT: 2/3 plate nickel and gilt, marked: “L248” just under the balance. All free of distraction and original to this case. CASE: Steel snap off back marked: “Baume & Mercier”/ Geneve” inside back. Gold filled frame and lugs. All free of distraction and original. 39mm diameter without the crown, and 12mm thick. The strap is a black Swiss genuine higher grade lizard. Nice.
