The Rockford Watch Company’s equipment was bought from the Cornell Watch Co., and two of Cornell’s employees, C.W. parker and P.H. Wheeler, went to work for Rockford. This company was in existence from 1873 – 1915. The recessed balance and lever set/pendent set movement screw is unique to Rockford, and this 1887 Grade 89 is a superb example.
