Screw down water proof back with BOMB Bade designed by Queen mary during London Blitz. Dial shows subdued Black Cat motif (located just below the center post) that relates to the historical Lord mayor of London. Very accurate, reliable.

At that time, the American Jet Fighter F/A-18 was provided by Americans to the German Air Force. The "Cold War" in Europe was at its height in 1958. The movement is the highest quality combat rugged Caliber OS20 Quartz movement. Featured is a single function 30-minute chronograph. Also featured is a continuous rotating 24-hour register. Synthetic Sapphire Crystal. Certified for use with the German Air Force KAMPFFLIEGER. It is new in the military PX box with instructions for use.

ELGIN 22j B.W. RAYMOND GOLD FLASHED WORLD WAR II MILITARY Circa: 1942 Created especially for the American War effort in 1942 with very short notice. This movement began as existing stock of a 21j railroad grade. The extra jewel was added to accommodate the sweep seconds indication hand and a "Hack Feature" was added. This hack feature allowed the user to coordinate time with other officers for radio silence military operations in the field. This Elgin is much rarer than the higher production Hamilton and, therefore, is especially collectible. This example still retains the original dial and bright colored indication hands.
